Winner of the Woodcast Idea Competition Declared!
Woodcast casting materials were shown at the Paramedic Conference in Oulu on 12.-13.4.2013. A competition to create different designs from Woodcast material was held during the event. The winner is Rauno Hirvonen with his fancy firewood rack. Congratulations to the winner and thank you to all the participants! Category: Ticker

Sanna Hokkanen has started as Training Manager at Onbone
Sanna Hokkanen has started as training manager from the beginning of November 2012. Hokkanen is responsible for Woodcast Training. She is an experienced Woodcast user, having worked for several years with Woodcast. In Woodcast training, inexperienced casting professionals practise the treatment of different indications with Woodcast. More experienced casting professionals can update their knowledge and experience with Woodcast. The training makes it possible to create totally new ways of using Woodcast. Category: Ticker

Onbone receives Finnish Forest Association award
The Finnish Forest Association board of directors has presented Onbone with a Pro Silvis plaque of merit. The honour is awarded to individuals or societies/working groups that promote constructive and inclusive dialogue on forestry issues, the diverse and sustainable use of forests and timber, and activities that raise awareness of the forestry expertise and culture of Finland. Chemical Industry Innovation Award Presented to Woodcast
Woodcast by Onbone was granted the Chemical Industry Innovation Award on 23 April 2012. The Award was presented at the Chemical Industry Federation of Finland Theme Forum. In the reasoning, the product was characterised as a revolutionary innovation with significant global market potential. The Chemical Industry Innovation Award encourages creativity and innovation among the professionals working in the chemical industry research. The Award is presented every second year. The Winner is selected by the Scientific Advisory Board of the Chemical Industry Federation of Finland, and the Award is presented by the Chemical Industry Federation. In 2012, the Innovation Award was presented for the twelfth time.

The national winners of the Productive Idea Competition will be presented with their awards on 15th October at the National Election Meeting of the Junior Chamber International at Jyväskylä. The competition is looking for innovative ideas, which have been in productive use for up to three years. The aim is to promote the success stories of the community members and to highlight the societal significance of entrepreneurship and innovation.
The Productive Idea Competition has been organised by the Junior Chamber International Finland in partnership with The Central Chamber of Commerce of Finland, Nordea, Tamro Finland, Kauppalehti, the Association for Finnish Work, the Federation of Finnish Enterprises, Ministry of Employment and the Economy, the SME Foundation, Finnish Industry Investment Ltd, ampparit.com, asiantuntijahaku.fi as well as the Sitefactory.
Wooden Cast Clinches a Win in the 2011 Productive Idea Competition
Onbone’s wood composite material, manufactured from wood chips and biodegradable plastic, has been selected as the winner of the business category of the Productive Idea competition in the Varsinais-Suomi and Uusimaa regions.
