The competition is organised by the Junior Chamber International with Mr Esko Aho, Nokia’s Executive Vice President for Corporate Relations and Responsibility as its patron.
The national winners of the Productive Idea Competition will be presented with their awards on 15th October at the National Election Meeting of the Junior Chamber International at Jyväskylä. The competition is looking for innovative ideas, which have been in productive use for up to three years. The aim is to promote the success stories of the community members and to highlight the societal significance of entrepreneurship and innovation.
The Productive Idea Competition has been organised by the Junior Chamber International Finland in partnership with The Central Chamber of Commerce of Finland, Nordea, Tamro Finland, Kauppalehti, the Association for Finnish Work, the Federation of Finnish Enterprises, Ministry of Employment and the Economy, the SME Foundation, Finnish Industry Investment Ltd, ampparit.com, asiantuntijahaku.fi as well as the Sitefactory.
Wooden Cast Clinches a Win in the 2011 Productive Idea Competition
Onbone’s wood composite material, manufactured from wood chips and biodegradable plastic, has been selected as the winner of the business category of the Productive Idea competition in the Varsinais-Suomi and Uusimaa regions. ISO 13485:2003 is the internationally recognised standard for quality management systems in the medical device industry. It defines the requirements for a quality management system, assisting an organisation to demonstrate its ability to provide medical devices and associated services, which meet both the clients’ requirements and the applicable regulatory requirements. The standard has been designed and intended for use by organisations for design, development, production, installation and servicing of medical devices.
Onbone Granted ISO 13485:2003 Certification
DEKRA Certification B.V. (NL) has granted Onbone Ltd an ISO 13485:2003 certificate.ISO 13485:2003 is the internationally recognised standard for quality management systems in the medical device industry. It defines the requirements for a quality management system, assisting an organisation to demonstrate its ability to provide medical devices and associated services, which meet both the clients’ requirements and the applicable regulatory requirements. Wooden Cast Excites in EFORT
A new cast innovation, a wooden cast, received even greater attention than anticipated in the EFORT exhibition in Copenhagen on 1.-3.6. As soon as the doors opened, Onbone’s stand attracted interested crowds; product samples were keenly accepted and business cards were exchanged. Contact requests were received from orthopaedic specialists from over 60 countries and retail contacts from over 20 countries. YLE News: Use of "Wood Cast" increasing in Keski-Suomi Central Hospital
YLE news was shown the features and the opportunities presented by the OMNICAST® splint at the Keski-Suomi Central Hospital. The Senior Plaster Technician Jorma Katainen observed that in addition to its utility as a wrist cast, the wood cast has also shown itself to be useful in the treatment of peroneal nerve palsy and plantar fasciitis.According to the Senior Plaster Technician, use of the “wood cast” will further increase at the Central hospital.
