Revolutionary Composite Material
The wood composite material developed and marketed by Onbone Oy lends itself to many purposes. Manufactured from Finnish wood chips and biodegradable plastic, 3WOOD™ is as hard and durable as wood at room temperature, but becomes putty-like, pliable and self-adhering when heated. It has been designed to be moulded by hand.
Completely non-toxic, 3WOOD™ is a suitable raw material for any product that comes into contact with skin, such as individually fitted protective and supportive devices for sports, orthopaedics and prosthetics. Its excellent pliability makes it also the material of choice for replicas and rapid prototyping, replacing plaster of Paris, wax or clay.
